About the role

The Hospice Administrator is directly responsible for the strategic and innovative direction of the hospice as part of the connected network of care. This position is responsible for the overall financial viability and growth of the agency and ensures the execution of the operations on a day-to-day basis. Acts as an expert on Hospice Care within the system and represents hospice within and outside of the organization. Leads to ensure delivery of exceptional care to patients and financial performance. Ensures compliance with Federal, State and local regulations. The position reports to The Board of Directors and is directly accountable to the Vice President of Hospice within Primary Health Division. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you'll bring to the team: Responsible for strategic growth of Hospice to contribute to overall network expansion within the system (i.e. growth of Average Daily Census, market leadership and development, and future inpatient unit expansions). Ensures financial viability of Hospice Manages day-to-day operations for hospice program, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of all agency operations. This includes operations in patient homes, nursing facilities, the Inpatient Units. Impacts the overall cost of care to the system (i.e. reducing hospital length of stay, readmissions and other hospital metrics). Leads to ensure delivery of exceptional care to patients. Oversees the implementation, coordination and management of projects with regard to the general business operations of hospice.

The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field 3 years previous Hospice leadership experience 7 years or more years in Healthcare Management or related field 3 years previous Hospice leadership experience Preferred qualifications: Master's Health Care Administration, or related field CHPNA Administrator Certified or CHPN Certified (nichellejohnson649@gmail.com) Previous experience as a hospice administrator Registered Nurse

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field
  • 3 years previous Hospice leadership experience
  • 7 years or more years in Healthcare Management or related field
  • Master's Health Care Administration, or related field
  • CHPNA Administrator Certified or CHPN Certified
  • Previous experience as a hospice administrator
  • Registered Nurse
