• Care for cancer patients and those at risk for getting the disease
• Monitor physical conditions, prescribe medication, and administer chemotherapy and other treatments
• Monitor patients who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems and diseases or are recovering from surgery
• Handle large patient loads, juggle multiple patient populations, and adapt to the ever-changing face of nursing care

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education
• NCLEX
• RN’s can only work with an active state license
• OCN certification is often required
