About the role
Neurology Clinical Nurse Specialist (NCNS) major function is to assess and analyze the neurological service programs data and outcomes. Through an ongoing assessment develop continuous improvements for a highly reliable, more efficient, and better patient outcome. NCNS through collaboration, and knowledge of industry standards helps establish clinical best practices. NCNS provides clinical expertise in the neurological specialist areas to optimize training and education to the staff Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Two years of Neurology/Stroke ICU experience upon hire Bachelor of Science in Nursing upon hire Two years of progressive leadership experience upon hire Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida or Licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement upon hire Current American Heart Association BLS certification or RQI upon hire, then renewed quarterly per RQI protocols Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or RQI upon hire, then renewed quarterly per RQI protocols Current NIHSS certification upon hire 8 hours of Hip and Knee Replacement / Spine Education within 6 months of hire date 8 hours of Stroke Education within 6 months of hire dater

Requirements
- Two years of Neurology/Stroke ICU experience upon hire
