About the role
We are seeking an experienced ML Engineer to join our team. The Machine Learning Engineer will play an important role in shaping the future of voice at Sky and Comcast — building the intelligence that makes talking to your TV feel natural, responsive, and effortless.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize ML models using TensorFlow or PyTorch for far-field voice detection, verification, and enhancement across Sky devices and cloud platforms.
- Implement ML models on the edge devices and optimize their performance for real-time inference.
- Work closely with data scientists, audio engineers, product managers, and external partners to design, develop, and deploy ML solutions that meet business requirements.
- Conduct experiments and perform statistical analysis to evaluate model performance.
- Build and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, model training, and deployment pipelines.
- Work with software engineers to integrate ML models into the production environment.
- Contribute to innovation discussions and research in applied speech, audio signal processing, ASR, NLP, and machine learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field, with proven experience building and optimizing ML models using TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Hands-on experience implementing ML models on edge devices and optimizing for real-time, low-latency inference.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and/or GCP, including building scalable ML infrastructure, data pipelines, and deployment workflows.
- Proficiency in Python and experience integrating ML models into production environments in collaboration with software engineers.
- Understanding of and interest in speech recognition, audio signal processing, ASR, and NLP, combined with problem-solving skills and ability to innovate in applied ML for voice technologies.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with ability to work cross-functionally, mentor junior engineers, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while driving technical direction.
