About the role
The Marine Casualty Claims Examiner is responsible for managing marine casualty claims from initiation to settlement. This role involves thorough investigation, liability assessment, coverage confirmation, and damage assessment. The successful candidate will handle subrogation claims, maintain accurate claim files, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Manage marine casualty claims from initiation to settlement, including investigation, liability assessment, coverage confirmation, and damage assessment.
- Handle subrogation claims management processes.
- Liaise effectively with surveyors and legal firms both nationally and internationally.
- Communicate with brokers and insureds, providing high-quality service and strategic guidance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files based on gathered information.
- Collaborate with all other Chubb functions to ensure prompt and effective responses.
- Adhere to company best practices and guidelines in all claim management activities.
Requirements
- Law degree required.
- Strong knowledge of main regulations relevant to marine casualty claims.
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to anticipate critical issues.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and resilience.
