Design Manager- Existing Fleet Innovations

• Develop innovative design concepts for specific architectural components, systems, details, and create work product for internal approval reviews
• Directly manage diverse team of external Architectural and Engineering consultants and vendors
• Collaborate on individual design initiatives and find innovative strategies to streamline and assist incorporation into Retail Standards
• Understand and interpret local and international building codes, integrating comprehensive design solutions that are compliant with local and or international building codes
• Work directly with Places team members consisting of teams from Real Estate, Development, Preservation, Facilities, and Pre-Construction experts
• Work cross-functionally with internal Apple groups outside of your team to integrate new initiatives for exiting stores worldwide
• Contribute to strategic thinking and innovative development of improvements for exiting store designs across all existing store types

• 10+ years of architecture and construction industry experience
• Professional degree in architecture or construction management
• Working knowledge of CAD, SketchUp, Rhino 3D, BIM tools and strategies
• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, and finalize projects effectively and independently
• Excellent communication skills and experience building strong working relationships across business groups and key stakeholders
