Responsibilities
- Supervise dockside sampling staff
- Collect and edit recreational and commercial salmon, halibut, lingcod, marine fish, and shellfish biological and catch data
- Implement the region's fisheries sampling program
- Provide the information necessary to estimate fisheries catch and effort for both commercial and recreational fisheries management
- Assess biological information by stock
- Achieve spawning escapements and agreed-to catch allocations
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or GED including one year of high school science
- Four (4) years of experience as a Scientific Technician
- Graduation from high school or GED including one year of high school science
- Four (4) years of laboratory or field experience as an assistant to a health or safety professional, biologist, chemist, or zoologist
