Special Education Teacher - Reading, PA

This role provides an impactful opportunity to shape the academic and social success of students requiring specialized education services. Qualified candidates with an active PA Special Education certification and passion for inclusive education are encouraged to apply.

• Provide specialized instructional support for students with emotional and autistic support needs in grades K-5.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique requirements.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and behavior technicians to maximize student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Facilitate inclusive classroom environments, adapting instructional strategies to support students placed in general education settings.
• Monitor and address behavior challenges using proactive interventions and supports.
• Maintain clear, regular communication with families and school staff to promote student progress.

• Active Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education (no pending or emergency certifications).
• Experience working with students requiring emotional support and autistic support services.
• Ability to manage and effectively utilize support staff, including paraprofessionals and behavior technicians.
• Strong classroom management and behavioral intervention skills.
• Commitment to fostering inclusive education and individualized student support.
