About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our K–5 team. This position serves students with Autism, providing individualized instruction and support in alignment with IEP goals. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth, engagement, and success for every learner.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with Autism.
- Adapt lessons and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff.
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development.
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations.
Requirements
- Valid CDE Special Education License (Colorado Department of Education).
- Experience working with students on the Autism spectrum preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Must pass a background check prior to employment.
