Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, strategy and leadership for plant operations and maintenance
  • Partner with Quality Assurance in implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system
  • Assures compliance to all procedures and policies concerning all areas of quality, regulatory, safety and human resources
  • Initiates and implements actions to maximize profits by containing expenses through improved operating and cost efficiencies
  • Develops, approves and meets financial budgets, plans and updates
  • Recruits, trains, develops, rewards and recognizes personnel to achieve targeted strategies and goals
  • Creates the appropriate organization structure to reflect and achieve current/planned goals and objectives
  • Ensures performance, quality, cost, schedule, profit and customer satisfaction targets are achieved with risks identified and mitigated and opportunities exercised
  • Establishes interfaces with Divisional/Corporate management to assess customer needs and assures accurate project or program technical direction for operations engineering and manufacturing
  • Assists in new product launches, production and engineering improvements, product testing, etc.
  • Responsible for establishing systems that would enhance intra- and inter-departmental communications
  • Coaches, develops and mentors direct staff
  • Conducts performance reviews and develops growth plans; interprets, implements and supports employee-related policies, procedures and programs
  • Assigns projects/tasks to direct staff
  • Responsible for recruitment, selection, development and retention of employees
  • Develops strategic plans and objectives in accordance with overall Plant and Division strategy; executes business plans through functional reports while providing leadership, coaching and direction
  • Works closely with peer Plant and Division personnel to develop plans/focus to assure continuous improvements that will benefit Operations
  • Provides leadership and valuable participation in team activities that will enhance the overall effectiveness of the Plant

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations S orcience
  • Preferred Qualifications: 10 years of experience in a variety of roles in manufacturing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to effectively lead in a team environment, adaptable to change, able to manage competing priorities, excellent analytical and problem solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and sense of business savvy
