Strategic Pursuits Accounting Lead, Google Cloud

Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end.

• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive accounting processes, policies, and controls for the assigned work streams
• Design and implement solutions that can scale, elevate steady-state manual processes to a semi-automated or automated scalable solution
• Understand the existing control environment with the ability to further identify risks and effectively communicate and execute opportunities for improvements
• Drive process and system enhancements while maintaining efficient financial close processes and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) controls
• Create and deliver clear, impactful presentations on complex accounting topics to various audiences
• Identify and escalate key issues to executive leadership, partnering to drive problem-solving and decision-making

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
• 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance
• Experience with lease accounting (ASC 842), financial reporting, operational accounting (accounting close, journal entries, memos, etc), and process improvements in a public accounting or multinational company setting
