DSHS SCC Licensed Practical Nurse 4 Join our team at the Special Commitment Center (SCC), on McNeil Island, as a Licensed Practical Nurse 4 (LPN4) to play a key leadership role in providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care.

• Administer medications using the 5 Rights of Medication Administration and accurately document in the MAR.
• Maintain medication inventory, coordinate with pharmacy for new orders, deliveries, and updates.
• Review and reconcile MARs monthly; communicate needed renewals or concerns to providers and nursing leadership.
• Take and record vital signs, assess changes in resident health status, and notify Charge RN or provider as needed.
• Provide direction to nursing assistants regarding resident care tasks and follow up to ensure completion.

• Possession of a valid Washington State license to practice as an LPN
• Two years of experience as a LPN
